Jenna Hayes is a new trainer for RMP in Virginia, and she has always been a go-getter. She bought her first home at the age of 19 before she’d even purchased a car. What makes this so interesting, besides her youth, is that she was working with cars at an auto repair shop at the time. That initiative led to a seven-year stint as the repair shop manager and gaining some lifelong skills. “Learning about car repairs is terrific — I do my own oil changes and tire rotations now,” Jenna says. The self-starter soon moved on to a Harley Davidson store where she was a service advisor, building a strong rapport with customers thanks to her personal touch. Jenna then built up her expertise as a title clerk with CarMax and another dealership where she learned to think out-of-the-box and be thorough.
Jenna joined the Virginia RMP team in August of 2017 and shared that, “It’s great to see RMP participants with little to no time on the job jump in and learn so much to increase their success.” With all her experience, Jenna sees a big need for the basics in Virginia, noting that even seasoned title clerks have shared how much they have benefitted. A capable trainer, Jenna is excited to begin classes. “Everyone learns differently,” she said, “so I explain things in different ways so all can understand. I’m excited to meet new people and help them excel in their jobs.” Jenna believes that with so many different positions at a dealership touching the paperwork, every staff member can benefit from RMP training. “It’s much easier to catch mistakes if you understand the paperwork as it passes through your hands.”
Personable and outgoing, Jenna’s vivacious spirit also defines her personal life. She enjoys staying physically active, and is an avid kickball and volleyball player. She also has a deep fondness for anything that has to do with water — the beach, the ocean, boats — you name it. And she has a bit of the explorer in her with her love of travel. Jenna feels lucky to have lived in sunny and warm Sicily, Italy, for two years and looks forward to more adventures on the horizon.
